The bride and her crew head for one last vacation before she officially goes to Miss to Mrs! It isn’t always possible to go out of the country for your bachelorette, plus, why should you go abroad when India has some beautiful places worth visiting? So forget Goa, that’s too cliché. We did some research and these 12 places in India are absolutely perfect for a bachelorette trip – just you, your girls, bottles of champagne and a chilled vibe.

1. Nasik, Maharashtra

Welcome to India’s only wine country! If you and your girls love your wine, then Nasik is the place for you. The Sula vineyards are in Nasik – that means beautiful vineyards, unlimited wine tastings and a whole lot of drunk fun. You can actually book a wine tour for your crew – what a great way to make some memories and have some fun!

2. Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh

The Ziro Valley is a quaint piece of paradise that is located in Arunachal Pradesh. Plan to go here in September because that’s when India’s hottest music festival, Ziro Festival of Music, takes place. Think of this as India’s Tomorrowland! Live music, stellar performances, famous artists, like-minded people – it’s everything that you can ask for on your bachelorette!

3. Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

Don’t think of Jaisalmer as just another city in the desert, think of Jaisalmer as a luxurious party place for you and your girls. Night desert safaris, staying in fancy tents, hosting Arabian theme parties, luxury camping experiences – sounds a lot like Sex and the City 2, right? Just make sure you dress as fabulously as Samantha did!

4. Pondicherry, Chennai

The beautiful French architecture is definitely Insta worthy and the food here is to die for, plus you and your girls can take surf lessons at sunrise, chill on the beach, roam around the quaint city, eat some delicious food and just spend some quality time. Another option is to stay at one of the 5-star resorts which are about an hour away from Pondicherry – relax in luxury and spend the day in the city; best of both worlds!

5. Mumbai, Maharashtra

The city where the party never stops! If you actually want to have a wild weekend with your girls, then Mumbai is the city for you. Nightclubs stay open till the wee hours of the morning, the number of bars in this city are uncountable and there is something for everyone to do. Book a water-view villa and let the madness begin.

6. Jim Corbett National Park, Uttrakhand

Spot tigers in the morning and pop champagne at night. How great does that sound? You can go for morning and evening safaris with your girls to check out the wildlife in the area, and hopefully spot quite a few tigers, and then spend the rest of your day chilling, lounging, drinking and just having fun. It’s unique, it’s fun and everyone will be up for it! To make this a rather luxurious bachelorette, book a fancy resort!

7. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh

Probably one of the most easily accessible hill stations in North India. If your idea of a good bachelorette is being surrounded by nature, watching the sunset over the mountains and just enjoying that slight nip in the area, then head to Shimla. Skip the touristy stuff like a walk on the mall road. Instead, just book a fancy resort or a really nice Airbnb and just chill!

8. Manali, Himachal Pradesh

Fancy resorts, good food and beautiful nature treks. If that sounds like fun to you and your girls, then plan your bachelorette in Manali. You can go for a trek one day, visit the Manali sanctuary another day, go paragliding among the hills or try your hand at skiing. Otherwise, you can just enjoy the comforts of your resort and head out for meals! Think of this as a relaxing, rejuvenating and really chill vacation with your crew.

9. Ranthambore, Rajasthan

Another national park, this is the place to head to for a luxurious camping experience. Stay in fabulous tents, spend your days drinking, lounging by the pool and just catching up. In the evening, head for a private safari and get a glimpse of the beautiful wildlife. Make sure you host at least one safari theme party!

10. Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu

Flowing rivers, endless valleys, magnificent hills and a 360-degree view of paradise. That’s what Kodaikanal is all about! Apparently, you get some really good mushrooms here, if that’s the kind of bachelorette ‘trip’ you had in mind. If you want to spend a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then this is the city for you. We do recommend booking a great resort over a rented villa to really enjoy your trip.

11. Andaman and Nicobar Islands

An underrated beauty in India! Why do you need to go to the beaches or Bali or Europe when we have these white-sand beaches in our own country? Clear and pristine water, endless white-sand beaches and the expanse of blue water as far as your eyes can see – how perfect does that sound? You can take a dip in the water, lounge on the beach, eat fresh seafood, party at the nightclubs and just enjoy your time with your girls. The best part is you won’t find too many tourists there. It’s just you, your girls and the beautiful islands.

Want to party it up in your very own boathouse? You and your girls can stay in a houseboat in Alleppey for the extent of your trip – talk about a unique bachelorette! Visit the various beaches, enjoy watching the sky turn shades of pink while the sun sets, take in the ever-popular backwaters of Kerala and just spend your time relaxing, chatting and making memories.
