Now, all you need to do is follow this beauty regime just 30 days before your big day and we promise you will have beautiful, glowing and flawless skin for your wedding..
Retinol is known to reduce sun damage and signs of ageing. That means, no discolouration, no-wrinkle lines and most definitely no ageing skin. Retinol also helps to tighten pores which is what will make your face look years younger! Apply it on your face just before sleeping so that the product can work on your skin all night long. Beauty sleep, literally.
Hyaluronic acid is another magical solution that reduces wrinkles and fine lines. God knows those wrinkles around your eyes aren’t going to look great in pictures and no makeup artists will be able to hide those wrinkles. Think of hyaluronic acid as a moisturizer that manages to make your skin look much younger – that’s how good it is! Use this every morning all over your face – and make sure to get enough around your eyes too.
You’ve heard the word enough times, but do you know what exfoliating does? Exfoliation means to remove the dead skin in the outer layer of the skin. By doing so, you’re not only rejuvenating your skin but you’re also removing unwanted elements like bacteria and dirt – those very bacteria and dirt that cause pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. Make sure you exfoliate just once or twice a week for fresher and healthier-looking skin. Don’t forget to moisturise after!
First, some education. Since alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) are soluble in water, so these work on the top layer of the skin. On the other hand, beta hydroxy acids (BHA) are soluble in oil, which means these can actually enter the pores and remove the buildup that exists inside the pores. Alpha hydroxy acid is ideal for dry skin types and helps get rid of acne, while beta hydroxy acid is ideal for oily skin type and helps remove blackheads and whiteheads. It is best to buy a face wash that contains both these hydroxy acids and use this facewash daily. Even a peeling solution containing these 2 acids can be used once a week.
Vitamin C is the best thing for skin rejuvenation, the natural way. Vitamin C is known to act as a brightening agent, slow down the ageing process because of the abundance of collagen, boost skin tightening and get rid of any fine lines. Plus, vitamin C is known for its hyperpigmentation-correcting, skin lightening and overall brightening properties. Start having vitamin C in the form of a tablet, daily. You can even use a vitamin C face wash daily, invest in a vitamin C serum which you should apply every morning or/and apply a vitamin C enriched mask once a week.
Think of facemasks as a 10-minute investment in your skin. Nowadays, face masks are so versatile – you can buy them for skin tightening, brightening, nourishment, repair, cooling, hydration, etc. From moisturizing to improving the skin, face masks can do it all. Buy a variety of face masks, some with natural ingredients like white tea and cucumber and some with chemicals and acids like collagen and hyaluronic acid and use it thrice a week for the first three weeks and one every day for the week right before the big day.
Night repair creams work all night alongside your body to fix your damaged skin. Technically, when you’re sleeping, your body switches into repair mode and it starts working on repairing your skin. So, what a night cream does is that it works to further the repair by keeping your skin hydrated, nourished and smooth. If you decide to use no other product, just use a night repair cream before sleeping and one face mask during the day.
Other than this, make sure you drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day – without enough water, your skin isn’t going to glow. Make sure you sleep on a silk pillowcase, as it will actually allow your skin to absorb all the beauty products, prevent wrinkles and ensure you wake up with smooth skin, unlike a cotton pillowcase. Have multivitamins like vitamin E, vitamin D and vitamin K to make sure your skin looks happy and healthy. And most importantly, don’t stress!
