The Perfect 15 day Europe Honeymoon Itinerary

Published by - Ananya | 8 minute read

Planning on spending your honeymoon in Europe? It’s the perfect place to enjoy just a little bit of everything – romantic walks along the Seine river, waking up to enjoy breakfast in bed with a view of the Alps, partying in the underground clubs of Berlin, walking along the breathtaking beaches of Portugal, visiting the ancient city of Rome or making some special memories in the gorgeous streets of Florence and finally spending a few relaxing days in Amsterdam. Of course, you can add to this itinerary or remove a city you’ve already been to before, but in our opinion, you should cover as many of these beautiful cities as you can.

Day one: Fly into Paris

Spend three nights in Paris, since you’ll barely get to do anything the day you reach

You fly from India to Paris. Firstly, Paris is the city of love so of course, your honeymoon should start in Paris. Plus, you’ll probably be able to find a really cost-effective flight to Paris, which makes it even better. Get a few pictures in front of the Eiffel tower to commemorate your love, try some delicious French cuisine while you sip your favourite wine and make sure you’re wearing some runway-ready clothes!

Day 1: Land in Paris, go for a walk along the streets and enjoy a nice dinner

Day 2: Visit the Eiffel Tower and the top museums on your list

Day 3: Visit the world-famous Notre Dame Cathedral and check out the Louvre

Day four: Take a flight from Paris to Berlin or fly from Paris to Faro, Portugal

Spend 2 nights here

Day 4: Visit the nightclubs in Berlin or head to one of the bars in Faro

Day 5: Spend the day visiting the Berlin Wall and Holocaust Memorial, and just enjoy a walk around Berlin or head to one of the many beaches in Faro and just enjoy a lazy day by the pristine blue waters

If you’re in the mood to party with your better half, and by party, we mean crazy techno nightclubs and all-night ragers, then take a flight to Berlin. There are quite a few underground clubs in Berlin which are better than most of the nightclubs around the world! If you’d rather sip some margaritas on the beach and take a dip in the water, then you should fly to Portugal. Plus, if you’re in the mood to spend some quality time with your husband over a few drinks at a bar as opposed to barely being able to talk to each other in a noisy nightclub, then Portugal is the city for you.

Day six: Fly to Switzerland

Spend 4 nights here

Day 6: Enjoy a walk around the vicinity and admire the beauty of nature

Day 7: Take a train ride to the higher glaciers or ride the cable cars to and enjoy the views

Day 8: Take the train journey up to Jungfraujoch

Day 9: Visit one of the popular resort towns or go spend a night there, if your budget allows

There is so much to see and do in beautiful Switzerland that you can easily spend a whole week here, but we know that you want to visit a few other places too. Make sure you take a train ride to the higher altitude glaciers because the sights on the way are absolutely breathtaking. Also, make sure you’ve carried your walking shoes because you and your partner will definitely want to enjoy a few romantic walks. If you’re really in the mood to get your adrenaline pumping, head to Jungfraujoch which is basically the top of Europe. Don’t forget to book the Swiss pass because that is the best way to tour the whole country with ease. Enjoy the snow-covered mountain peaks, take some gorgeous pictures of the panoramic view of the Swiss alps, go for long walks with your partner and snuggle up with a cup of hot cocoa at night – the perfect way to spend some time with your better half.

Day ten: Take a train or a flight to Rome or Florence

Spend two nights here

Day 10: Spend your day just walking along the streets and taking in the culture, in either Rome or Florence

Day 11: Visit popular tourist attractions in ancient Rome. If you choose to go to Florence, spend your day just strolling around the city and its hotspots, then spend the latter half of the day by opting for a Tuscan wine tour in Florence.

If you’re in the mood to visit the ancient ruins of Rome and visit some popular historical attractions, then you should head to Rome. You can visit popular attractions like Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain. If you’d rather spend your days relaxing and strolling along the streets of Florence, visiting the popular spots like Piazzale Michelangelo and Mercato Centrale, checking out the San Lorenzo Market, enjoying some beautiful sunsets, learning about how wine is made and attending some wine tastings, then Florence is calling your name.

Day twelve: Take a flight to Amsterdam

Spend your last 3 nights here

Day 12: Relax, enjoy a good meal, head to your favourite bar and just chill.

Day 13: Take a walk around the city, mainly the Dam square. Visit the various restaurants and cafes, especially the ever-popular Bulldog Cafe.

Day 14: Visit Anne Frank’s house, check out the Van Gogh museum and take a walk around the red light district.

Amsterdam is one of the most happening cities in the world, so of course, this city should be a part of your honeymoon itinerary. Spend your days checking out the various cafes, take a walk through the red light district, enjoy tasting the special edibles and spend your nights relaxing at one of the many bars in the city. If you’re in the mood for something educational and informative, you must visit Anne Frank’s house and the Van Gogh museum. Ps.
